KNOWLEDGE & EVIDENCE

A philosophy guided
by evidence and inquiry.

CNHDS connects established fields of knowledge within a shared framework, with a commitment to professional scrutiny and continued learning.

IN THIS CHAPTER

Nutrition, movement, clinical care and behavioural understanding each contribute to how CNHDS approaches human well-being. The resources below explain relevant public-health principles.

What informs the framework?

WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION · 2026

Healthy dietary patterns support health. Their practical form can reflect individual needs, locally available foods and cultural traditions.

WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION

Physical activity contributes to physical and mental health, with recommendations considered in relation to a person’s circumstances.

WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION · 2025

Reducing modifiable risks, detecting disease and providing timely care are complementary parts of responding to chronic disease.

How evidence is interpreted

Evidence supporting nutrition, physical activity or a particular intervention does not by itself establish the effectiveness of the complete CNHDS model. Evaluating the integrated framework requires its own defined outcomes, appropriate methods and transparent reporting.

Research references here provide context. They do not imply endorsement of CNHDS by the organisations cited. Goals such as fewer avoidable complications or reduced pressure on healthcare are intended outcomes, not guarantees.

The person gives the science context.

Personalisation considers clinical needs, food preferences, culture, daily routines, resources and functional ability. Relevant clinical findings can inform professional judgement.

Nutrigenetics and nutrigenomics can be areas of scientific enquiry where relevant evidence and expertise are available. Genetic testing is not presented here as a required starting point, a routine CNHDS service or a guarantee of better outcomes.
